New Hostel In Stockholm

December the world’s first hostel inside a real jumbo jet will open at Stockholm-Arlanda Airport. This aircraft has now been moved to its final destination at the airport entrance. The Jumbo Hostel will become a new Stockholm-Arlanda landmark. Construction will now begin on the world’s first hostel inside a real jumbo jet, a Boeing 747-200. (more…)

Copperhill Mountain Lodge in Åre ski resort in Sweden is now one of 170 hand-picked hotels in the world, and the only mountain resort hotel in Scandinavia, to receive the honour to be awarded membership in Design Hotel.The hotel will open on December 8th. (more…)

Lydmar Hotel, Opening in October 2008, is a new deluxe hotel in the centre of Stockholm. The hotel is situated at the sea front of Blasieholmen, (near Grand Hotel)with a view over the Old Town, the Royal Palace, the Royal Opera and Parliament. Hopefully I will have some pictures and more to tell next week after a visit there!

On Sunday 7th July, opened Sweden’s first design hostel - STF Gärdet in Stockholm. All furnishings are Swedish and has been created based on the classic Swedish furniture but in a modern style. The hostel has 53 rooms and 112 beds. (more…)
