Day. 1

Medieval Visby

Arrival in Visby. Explore this idyllic medieval town. Check in to your hotel in the centre.

Day 2. Pick up your bike. Head north the road 149, follow the sign “Naturreservat” and visit Brucebo Nature Reserve (5 km NO Visby). The nature are slopes, seashore, meadows, forests, rills, wetlands and swamps. There are orchids and whitebeams in the reserve . Parts of the reserve is a restricted area for birds, and you may not walk in it during the springtime. There are wild ducks, waders and blackheaded seagulls.

Lummelunda Cave

Continue to Lummelunda Mills and Caves. Waterpower has been used att Lummelunds bruk since the Medieval Period. Today, Överste kvarn (an industry in operation until the 1970s) is a reminder of this. Around the mill, you can stroll in the beautiful surroundings, have a coffee in the shady verdure, or experience adventure in the depths of the underground caves at Lummelunda.

Continue north to Stenkyrka and check in to your first hotel.
Visby – Stenkyrka 230 km

Day 3. Fårö
Continue road 149 to Fårö. People are drawn to the Baltic Sea island of Fårö for the unique beauty of its landscape and coastline. Here you can enjoy cycling, walking, swimming, diving, windsurfing, bird-watching or even just making sandcastles. Fårö is equally appealing both in the summer and winter months, although in very different ways.

Check in to your hotel on Fårö Island.
Stenkyrka – Fårö 40 km, short ferry trip 10 minutes

Day 4. Take a biking tour on Fårö and then head south again (or stay one day more on Fårö). Choose the road 148 for Visby. Stay o night in Valleviken, Boarding house with the Baltaic sea on three sides.
Fårö – Valleviken 15 km

Day 5. Back to Visby, road 148. Stop for a picnic brake and a swim in the lake, Tingsträde Träsk, From here you will only have 20 km to Visby. Leave your bikes and check in to the hotel.
Day 6. Departure.
