Day 1. Arrival in Visby. Explore this idyllic medieval town. Check in to your hotel in the centre.

Day 2. Pick up your bike. Head north the road 149, follow the sign “Naturreservat” and visit Brucebo Nature Reserve (5 km NO Visby). The nature are slopes, seashore, meadows, forests, rills, wetlands and swamps. There are orchids and white beams in the reserve . Parts of the reserve is a restricted area for birds, and you may not walk in it during the springtime. There are wild ducks, waders and blackheaded seagulls. Images from Flickr here.

Four or five kilometers north of Visby lies Muramaris, once an artist’s home built in Italianate style in the early 20th century. The main building was destroyed in a fire 2013. Today’s amenities include a restaurant, a holiday village, an art gallery and a beautiful baroque garden. Signposted from road 149.

Continue to Lummelunda Mills and Caves. Waterpower has been used att Lummelunds bruk since the Medieval Period. Today, Överste kvarn (an industry in operation until the 1970s) is a reminder of this. Around the mill, you can stroll in the beautiful surroundings, have a coffee in the shady verdure, or experience adventure in the depths of the underground caves at Lummelunda. Continue north and check in to your hotel Ihreviken by the sea

Visby –Ihreviken 30 km.

Day 3. Today you will cross the island to Valleviken with the Baltic sea on three sides. Stay two nights with a day to explore Fårö Island. Your hotel in Valleviken will provide picnic lunch –(additional).

Day 4. In the morning head north for Fårö Island, short ferry trip 10 minutes, take a biking tour on Fårö before you go back to your hotel in Valleviken. Continue road 148 to Fårö. People are drawn to the Baltic Sea island of Fårö for the unique beauty of its landscape and coastline. Here you can enjoy cycling, walking, swimming, diving, windsurfing, bird-watching or even just making sandcastles. Fårö is equally appealing both in the summer and winter months, although in very different ways.

Day 5. Back to Visby, road 148 south. Stop for a picnic brake and a swim in the lake, Tingsträde Träsk, From here you will only have 20 km to Visby. Leave your bikes and check in to the hotel.

Valleviken – Visby 50 km

Day 6. Departure, transfer to the airport.
