Put on a warm coat and take a two hours walk to an extraordinary site in Europe: Måkläppen, near Malmö. The nature reserve will be closed to visitors from February until November. Follow the road to Falsterbo Golf Course and start walking. Combine with a city break in Copenhagen or Malmö. (more…)

After years of preparation and construction the PGA of Sweden National golf course just outside Malmö is ready to be opened. June12-13 are D days for the new super track, which is expected to be one of the best in Sweden and Scandinavia. (more…)

Sweden will proudly host the World Championship in Handball 2011. Half of the matches will be arranged here in Skåne, the part of Sweden that is very close to many major European handball nations. Malmö recently opened a brand new city arena – with a great view to Copenhagen and Denmark! (more…)

In the middle of August the giant crayfish party in Skåne will be arranged in Helsingborg and gather hundreds of people sitting by the harbour with hats and paper bibs. The Malmö festival starts off in the third week in August with a huge crayfish party at Stortorget. All you need to bring with you are some crayfish and a party mood! (more…)

The world’s largest reconstruction of a Viking longship will probably arrive to Dublin today about 1:30 p.m. The Sea Stallion and her 65 men crew left the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde, Denmark June 1st.

Yesterday the father of little girl Ebba rolled out. He will travel by in-lines, 7 days and 700 kilometres alongside the south coast of Sweden, most of the way using cycling paths nearby the sea. This is a tour to honour the memory of his little girl, Ebba, who died from cancer only six years old in November last year. His journey will be both therapy and a way to raise founds for The Swedish Children’s Cancer Foundation. (more…)
