Itinerary/tour idea:
Day 1. Arrival Sjöbo Gästgifvaregård Renowned for its good food and cellars, this ancient inn in the heart of the province of Skåne dates from 1723. The surrounding countryside is filled with lakes and forests, and the great variety of flora and fauna delight the expert as well as the curious amateur. Linnaeus visited this inn during his expedition and planted the old elm in the courtyard. Sadly though the tree is dying so you better hurry to get its picture this summer. Imagine 250 years.
3-course dinner in the evening.

Day 2. After breakfast – adventure excursion by horse carriage
Your horse carriage will pick you up at the hotel for a drive to the castle Sövdeborg ” a large manor with plaster roof” that Linné noted during his expedition.

There is a beautiful nature reserve between the lakes known as Sövdesjön and Snogeholmssjön. Snogeholm is one of Skåne’s largest recreational areas with varied woods, pastures and cultivated land between lakes Snogeholm and Sövde. The castle was built in 1868 and is on a point of Lake Snogeholm.

Other interesting places on the banks of Sövdesjön include Sövde Must (cider and juice manufacturers),
Duration 3 hours including picnic lunch.
Back to the hotel.

Day 3. After breakfast – a beautiful day for walking and talking!
Transfer to the hiking trail, which will take you to the sea. You will have detailed maps, and picnic. Your luggage will be transported to your next hotel. Dinner at the hotel.
Skånes’ landscape is unique in many ways. To begin with, it is part of the Central European deciduous tree belt. That makes the region totally different from the rest of Sweden, which is predominantly covered with coniferous forest. It is also home to a rich mix of wildlife. The Skåne Trail gives you a fantastic cross-section of the best of the beautiful nature: soft rolling hills, lakes, streams, sandy beaches and a cultural history going as far back to the Vikings.

Day 4. Spend the day on your own. Time to enjoy the small cafés and cobbled street in the small fishing villages. Visit the artisans and the beach.

Day 5. Departure. The train will take you to Copenhagen Airport within 2,5 hours.

All our accommodations are comfortable with private WC/bath. Some of the are know for gastronomic food others for their beautiful settings. Your choice!
