Itinerary/tour idea:
Day 1. Arrival Sjöbo Gästgifvaregård Renowned for its good food and cellars, this ancient inn in the heart of the province of Skåne dates from 1723. The surrounding countryside is filled with lakes and forests, and the great variety of flora and fauna delight the expert as well as the curious amateur. Linnaeus visited this inn during his expedition and planted the old elm in the courtyard. Sadly though the tree is dying so you better hurry to get its picture this summer. Imagine 250 years.
3-course dinner in the evening.
Copenhagen/Airport Sjöbo with train to Lund and then local bus, approx 2 hours.

Day 2. After breakfast – adventure excursion by horse carriage
Your horse carriage will pick you up at the hotel for a drive to the castle Sövdeborg ” a large manor with plaster roof” that Linné noted during his expedition.

There is a beautiful nature reserve between the lakes known as Sövdesjön and Snogeholmssjön. Snogeholm is one of Skåne’s largest recreational areas with varied woods, pastures and cultivated land between lakes Snogeholm and Sövde. The castle was built in 1868 and is on a point of Lake Snogeholm.

Duration 3 hours including picnic lunch.
Back to the hotel.

Day 3. Time to move on! In the afternoon your horse carriage will pick you up for a ride to the next hotel, Wells. This small B&B in the rural village Vollsjö has TV, pool table, sauna, drawing room, indoor driving range and putting green, skittles, present boutique and large garden with stream and pond.
3-course dinner at the hotel will be arranged.

Day 4. After breakfast – a beautiful day for walking and talking!
Transfer to the hiking trail, which will take you to the sea. You will have detailed maps, and picnic. Lunch at Buhres Fish restaurant in the harbour in Kivik. Transfer back to the hotel and a relaxing swim in the pool. Have a drink and enjoy!

Skånes’ landscape is unique in many ways. To begin with, it is part of the Central European deciduous tree belt. That makes the region totally different from the rest of Sweden, which is predominantly covered with coniferous forest. It is also home to a rich mix of wildlife. The Skåne Trail gives you a fantastic cross-section of the best of the beautiful nature: soft rolling hills, lakes, streams, sandy beaches and a cultural history going as far back to the Vikings.

Day 5. Transfer to Simrishamn and the hotel Svea. Time to enjoy the small cafés and cobbled street in this small fishing village.
3-course dinner in the evening.

Day 6. After breakfast you will experience hiking at the special Linné Trail. Here you will see the landscape with the eyes of Linné. There will be guided tours and detailed information about the botanist and expedition, 250 years ago!
A massage and SPA treatment at the hotel when you return.

Day 7. Departure. The train will take you to Copenhagen Airport within 2,5 hours.
