Vineyards In Sweden Offers Wine Tasting

In July, it is all go for Sweden’s vineyards to arrange wine tastings. Kullahalvön’s Vineyard in north western Skåne will shortly launch three new sorts of wine and offers tours and sampling at the vineyard during July. You can also participate in the grape harvest in September and October.

New Hotel In Stockholm Hammarby Sjöstad

Park Inn’s most recent hotel is located right by the water’s edge in Stockholm’s most fashionable part of town. Hammarby Sjöstad – an old industry and harbour area has been transformed into a modern area with 11,000 apartments for 25,000 inhabitants and shops and offices for 10,000 people. (more…)

Midsummer Tradition In Sweden

Midsummer Celebration in Sweden is coming up. Friday (always a Friday) on June 25 when the day light will stay all night long and the May Pole will be seen all over the country. Many women wear a flower wreath on their heads and some people dress in traditional folk costumes. (more…)

First Free iPhone App About 33 European Cities

ECM (European Cities Marketing) has launched its first iPhone app about its 33 member cities, across 19 countries, including Stockholm and Gothenburg in Sweden and our neighbour’s Copenhagen, Oslo and Reykjavik. The tool has been developed by European City Card Group and 33 cities work together to develop the city’s City Cards for visitors. (more…)

UK travellers believe a trip Sweden, Norway and Switzerland will cost them the most – yet France is actually the most expensive country to visit, according to research conducted by flight comparison site Skyscanner.
