Bike around the Sound or Sweden

On both sides of the sound there are clearly marked bicycle paths of different types – national, regional and local. For those who want to go their own way, the opportunities are ofcourse enormous. Copenhagen is a city with thoroughly well developed cycle paths. It is easy to get round from one part to the other in a single day. There are also free bicycles to borrow here. If you want to avoid spending a lot of time at the Copenhagen Airport
try to find an airflight to Malmö instead, only 30 minutes by train or car from Copenhagen.
You will find routes along the Western Cost from Malmö to the Norwegian border and along the eastern cost from Ystad (southern most tip of Sweden) all the way (2.500 km) to Lapland in the north.
Around the Sound: Suggest you start and finish in Malmö or Copenhagen – approx 20 km, 4-5 overnight stay in comfortable hotels, private WC/shower and a great dinner in the evening. In the middle of the Sound lies the island of Ven, with beautiful cycle paths and there are bicycles to rent for the whole family. You can get to Ven by boat from several cities around the sound.

From the Kullen Peninsula follow the small coastal road to Ängelholm passing fishing villages, bird watching areas and tasty country cafés. In Ängeholm you can choose to continue by the beaches or head south to Helsingborg.
