The Copenhagen Opera House is one of the world’s most modern opera houses. Several hundred square meters of 24 carat gold leaf covers the ceiling and the walls and balconies are clad in shining maple wood.
From some 13 stages, over 900 hours of free entertainment are offered at the Malmö Festival. The visitor can enjoy everything from famous opera prima donnas to hip hop, blues, jazz, pop, rock´n´roll and heavy metal, as well as a wide variety of cultural experiences: film, music, theatre, performances, poetry, literature and much more.
In Helsingborg two hours from Copenhagen, you stroll through a rectangular city centre that runs parallel with the sea. Kullagatan, the first pedestrian street in Scandinavia, is more than 40 years old. The City is a treasure trove of fashion shops. Chain stores intermingle with smaller boutiques along Kullagatan. You will also find shops for home furnishing, glass and china, sports equipment and footwear, as well as watchmaker´s and jeweller´s shops and opticians.
Kulturen in Lund is an attraction out of the ordinary. It is the biggest museum in Skåne and the second oldest open-air museum in the world. There are more than thirty buildings, moved and re-erected here to two blocks of the city of Lund, showing how people have lived and worked in Sweden through the ages.
