Golf for life

Professor Bengt Saltin, Univeristy of Copenhagen, Muscle Research Centre, has in his new book given us scientific facts. The conclusion is that all test connecting to health will be better if you play golf. So now we have a real authority to back up our arguments for playing golf as often as possible. Since the sport activates all ages we suggest that golf will be a part of the national health programme.

Architecture Travel Tour

VM housesFor travelers and visitor with interest for architecture, professionally or privately, the Öresundregion offers a lot of places worth paying attention to. The twisted tower in Malmö, The Black Diamond and VM houses in Copenhagen, North Harbor i Helsingborg are all possible to visit during a weekend. Further on I will give some more proposals for a real Architec Travel Tour combined with good food of course.
Architects from all over the world are in competition for transforming the old shipyard in Ellsinore to a Culture Yard. December 9th 2005 an open, international design competition for architects regarding the Culture Yard was announced.

Twisted conference

The sixth annual Emporis Skyscraper Award goes to Turning Torso, a twisting skyscraper designed by Santiago Calatrava in Malmö, Sweden. At 190 meters (623 feet), Turning Torso is the tallest building in Scandinavia, and the tallest residential building west of Moscow in Europe.This is one of the Nordic region’s most exclusive meeting places: HSB Turning Torso Meetings right at the top of floors 53 and 54.

Turning Torso was chosen by an overwhelming majority of votes on the Emporis Award Jury. Members of the jury called it “highly adventurous and innovative”, “the epitome of structural expressionism”, and “the result of enlightened and adventurous patronage”, noting that it “looks different from almost every angle”.
